Restructuring
of the Hotel Papadopoli
Venezia MGallery

Restructuring the Papadopoli Hotel Venice MGallery by Sofitel.
A contemporary luxury experience.

It is no coincidence that last 2nd of December, the Hotel Papadopoli in Venice won two of the Luxury Hotel Awards 2017: "Luxury Contemporary Hotel" for Italy and "Luxury Boutique Hotel" for Southern Europe. During 2017 the hotel has been completely renovated in harmony with contemporary luxury. Artelia Italia was responsible for the Project and Construction Management services for the renovation project.
The original building dates back to the 1920s and the 18th-century style decorations and decor were very classic. The extensive renovation carried out followed a contemporary approach while enhancing this heritage of Venetian history and culture and transforming the structure into an original and luxurious boutique hotel.

The public areas of the hotel have been redesigned; the rooms have been enlarged and given a new identity. On the top floor the new suites have been created, each with its own Jacuzzi and terrace, offering guests a magnificent view of the city.

A challenging project for various aspects: the need to keep the hotel operational, the very particular context of the lagoon city, the lack of storage space for materials, the installation of a crane, the moving of technical structures to the roof. Despite this, everything has been designed and executed successfully, within the allocated time and budget.

This significant repositioning within the luxury hotel sector allows the hotel to write a new, all-Venetian story in the international tourism sector.
