STRENGHT AXES FOR GENOA PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The “4 Assi di Forza” trolley-bus system for Genoa’s local public transportation is extensive along the city’s main thoroughfares. It is rapidly deployable, flexible in operation, and emission-free. The project, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), encompasses comprehensive infrastructure development for the “Assi di Forza” system, including civil works, installations, technological systems, new stops (over 300), new terminals, road layouts, and all associated elements. The contract covers 96 km of the 4 tramway axes(Centro, Ponente, Levante, and Val Bisagno). The design includes considerations for roadways, logistics (depots, workshops, parking), stops, terminals, and technological networks (contact lines, power supply, traffic signal preference, and telecommunications).  The project execution was carried out by the RTP, with Leonardo, ICM and Colas  Rail, and Artelia is responsible for proejct management.
