Advanced solutions for sustainable heating and cooling networks

Artelia has extensive experience in the design and management of urban and industrial heating and cooling networks, covering all types of infrastructure: steam, superheated water, hot water, tempered water loops and chilled water.

During the preliminary stages, we assess the state of existing networks and analyse the feasibility of creation, upgrading or expansion projects. Next, we undertake dimensional design and routing studies, and then manage the detailed design and implementation of the infrastructure, including pipelines, substations and automated control systems.

Thanks to our expertise in renewable energy sources, we select the most suitable low-carbon solutions, including biomass, solar thermal, waste-to-energy, ocean thermal energy and waste heat recovery, minimising the use of fossil fuels.

To meet the growing demand for cooling for offices, homes and data centres, we develop innovative solutions such as heating/cooling loops and seawater air conditioning, improving energy efficiency and network sustainability.
