Thanks to our expertise in coastal erosion phenomena, we develop and implement sustainable coastal management projects in several countries, integrating climate change and sea level rise predictions. Our teams conduct regulatory studies on coastal and estuarine projects, including environmental impact assessments and analyses on aquatic ecosystems, contributing to the definition of plans for the prevention of coastal risks such as erosion and flooding

We also specialise in the restoration of estuaries and wetlands, applying advanced skills in hydrodynamics, sedimentology and physical-mathematical modelling to develop innovative solutions for the renaturation and sustainable management of these vulnerable ecosystems.

Artelia boasts a hydraulics laboratory with over a century of experience, equipped with canals and wave tanks with advanced measurement and management systems. These facilities allow us to analyse the hydrosedimentary dynamics of coastal areas, assess the stability of protective structures and study fluid-structure interactions, ensuring reliable solutions for coastal protection and management.
