Business School dell' École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (#ESCP) di Torino

🎉 We are excited to announce that the project for the new headquarters of the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (#ESCP) Business School in Turin is a finalist in the MIPIM Awards 2025 in the category “Best Cultural, Sports and Education Project”! 🌟

Artelia Italia was commissioned to transform a disused building owned by BNL BNP Paribas, located in the historic centre of Turin, into the new headquarters of the Business School of the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (#ESCP). This 19th-century building has been radically renovated, seismically adapted and energy-efficient.

The intervention included the extension and organic integration with a new contemporary building, built on the site of a 20th-century volume and the original internal courtyard. Thanks to Regional Law no. 16 of 4/10/2018, which encourages urban reuse and redevelopment, it was possible to obtain a 20% increase in the Gross Floor Area.

Artelia Italia, based on the initial concept of the Turin-based TRA studio, developed the entire multidisciplinary integrated design, from the preliminary phases through to obtaining the building permit. Artelia Italia's contribution was essential in engineering a complex intervention, with the ambitious objective of re-functionalising and enhancing a historical building, transforming it into a contemporary structure with advanced plant engineering and energy standards. The new use gives the building a significant cultural and socio-economic value.

We are proud to have contributed to a project that not only enhances the historical heritage, but also offers a significant benefit to the community by promoting culture and education.
