UNHCR – Collaborative space
Artelia Italia is responsible for the executive design of the furnishings for the UNHCR headquarters in Geneva, the United Nations agency specializing in the management of refugees.
The project is characterized by the choice of natural materials such as wood for both coverings and furnishings. Custom-made furnishings have also been created with sinuous and organic shapes integrated with the green elements.
The aim was to create a comfortable and domestic environment in which to feel at home, much attention was paid to the well-being of the people who inhabit the spaces.
Artelia has undertaken Engineering Services for the renovation, including: Designing a collaborative space on the 1st floor, Renovating two sanitary blocs, Refurbishing the two main meeting rooms, Assisting in the tendering process, managing the works, and conducting acceptance tests to ensure completion.
