Ex-Manifattura Tabacchi

Artelia Italia is in charge for providing the architectural executive design for the urban regeneration project promoted by VR.RE Srl, managed by Supernova Management, and designed by the international architecture firm Snøhetta at its Innsbruck (AUT) office. The redevelopment of the area will give rise to a new urban district comprising a retail hub, restaurants and a food court, office buildings, a hotel, leisure facilities, green spaces, and an underground parking system.

Soft mobility is at the heart of the initiative, with pedestrian and cycle paths weaving through a network of squares, a pedestrian bridge, and a public plaza on the southern edge of the site, connecting the Manifattura Tabacchi to Veronafiere, along with a planned stop on Viale del Lavoro as part of the new city trolleybus line.

The project includes high energy-efficiency buildings, supported by technologies for the production of energy from renewable sources, in line with the highest LEED certification standards.
